I wrote and recorded this meditation on a deeply emotional day where I felt like I had to be "hard" and push forward, when all I really wanted was to rest and be "soft". As mothers, caregivers and birthing parents, we are often pushed and pulled around all day caring for others, leaving little time to care for ourselves.
